Have a full-term pregnancy

Baby Talk participants were more likely to have a full-term pregnancy compared to Sedgwick County Moms (78% vs 61%).

Initiate breastfeeding 

Compared to matched County births, Baby Talk participants were more likely to initiate breastfeeding. 

•Non-Hispanic white: 96% vs. 90% 

•Non-Hispanic black: 91% vs. 77%

Higher knowledge of healthy pregnancy and safe infant care

Compared to pretest scores Baby Talk participants show significantly increased knowledge of healthy pregnancy practices and safe infant care after completing the program.
